well it blew a gale all night and stopped at sunrise. it then took me
10hrs to do 10nm, tomorrow is forecast to be calmer. turning to spring
tides, I actually got close to this spot before noon, then the current
carried me backwards until the sea breeze arrived, I then went nowhere
until the tide turned, and then started going forward at about 1.5 kn,
which got me here. didn't pass much scenery either, I might stay here
tomorrow and find out beforehand what happens when they predict 5kn
easterlies. the next island is 24nm away, it might be an overnight trip
if the wind doesn't improve.
