rudely awoken at 2340 to sounds of something trying to tear the back of
the boat to pieces, flashed the spotlight at it a few times, it came up
beside the cockpit and looked as though it wanted to eat me, same bloody
croc. Put some dark clothes on so it couldn't see me, raised the anchor,
set the sails and proceeded to drift backwards for 3nm, the sun rose, a
light breeze & the incoming tide saw me head off in the right direction,
but didn't quite get to the island I was after. The breeze didn't last
long & the tide changed, as they do...
PS - Dampier, July 06, Geoff & Jolien have arrived in Dampier from
Darwin, we compared notes and were both attacked by the same croc within
3days.
