trip
another slight wind day, which got off to a bad start when I couldn't
retrieve the reef anchor, huffed n puffed till I got it. The trek wasn't
helped by these blasted spring tide currents, but there isn't a lot in
this bay, which may be why the whales like it, I saw big n small ones
doing their picture-post-card stuff too far away & slow to get a
picture, but you've seen the shot dozens of times. I couldn't get to
macleay island because of the weather, which became blowy at 0300 so I
set sail. Collier bay is where koolan island is, the number of lights
indicate it could be a tourist resort, but I just this minute heard a
prolonged rumble, which could be someone blasting.
