spent 8 hrs retrieving a fouled anchor by which time the wind had
disappeared. Rather than drop the pick back where I was, decided to see
if I could use the current to drift to sunday island, went well past it
until sunset approached and I dropped the reef anchor, thinking it would
just drag in the mud and slow me down, it bit something, the tide
started rushing in, then out, then back in, incredible stuff, water
washing past at 10kn on the pick (see pics).waiting for the morning ebb
tide to catch the current to cape leveque, which must be where the nextg
is coming from. I've drifted closer to derby (Still 60nm away) and
there's no signal.
