the advertised 15-20kn easterly didn't happen, but i'm north of kuri bay
now, which as anyone in north australia knows is a bom weather boundary,
the weather forecast for kuri bay to wallal was closer to the mark
albeit nothing flash in view of the 6kn current I was sailing into all
afternoon. There's a small bay at the sw end of heywood island which
looked like a pleasant spot to drop the pick, even at slackwater there
were overflow and whirlpools, gave it a miss and headed for the closest
shallow water. Camden sound is a nice spot to sail through, very
pleasant trip, whale spotting.
