known as la fontaine island, kingsmiller island group, admiralty bay
trip
the high in the bight, that's been there for 2weeks or so, is starting
to move east and the easterlies are starting to drop off. today I
completed cape bougainville, passed hat peak and sailed most of the way
across admiralty gulf to this little paradise. it isn't in any of the
cruising guides i've got for wa which hopefully means it might stay the
same for years to come. i'm less than 100m off the beach in 4m of
crystal clear water, 10m further out it is 20m deep. turtle tracks &
nests all over the place, rugged rocky foreshore for the most part &
well protected from the breeze.
